Blazers' McCollum says Stephen Curry can't guard him

Stephen Curry's offensive prowess has never been in question, with the back-to-back MVP leading the league in scoring this past season at 30.1 points per game. His individual defense, though, is a different story.

While he's improved in that facet of his game over the years, Curry's small stature limits his ability to defend his man, although his quick hands - he led the NBA in steals in 2015-16 with 2.14 - give opposing ball-handlers grief more often than not.

Nonetheless, Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum doesn't fear The Chef at all on defense, telling his followers so in an impromptu Q-and-A session on Twitter early Wednesday morning.

McCollum - who signed a four-year, $106-million contract extension with Portland over the summer - was named the NBA's Most Improved Player after increasing his scoring output by 14 points (6.8 to 20.8) from the year prior.

Against the Golden State Warriors in the second round of the playoffs, the 24-year-old saw his shooting percentages dip across the board, with his 3-point shooting taking the worst dive, from 41.7 percent (ninth in the NBA) to just 32.1. To be fair, Klay Thompson was assigned to him for a majority of the series, and not Curry.

In Game 5 at Oracle Arena, McCollum dropped Curry to the ground on a drive to the basket, though it appeared Curry was either taking a dive or looking to draw a charge. Regardless, if McCollum ever needs ammunition to throw at naysayers who claim the MVP can guard him, he can always bust out this clip:
