Betts continues tear with another multiple-HR game
If Mookie Betts wasn't getting MVP consideration, his last few games changed that in a hurry.
After hitting three home runs on Sunday, the Boston Red Sox outfielder continued his sizzling play with two more home runs and five RBIs in a 5-4 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday.
Betts now has seven home runs, 20 RBIs, and an absolutely ridiculous 1.177 OPS in the month of August.
The 23-year-old budding star has hit two or more home runs five times this year. He joined elite company with his performance Sunday, becoming only the eighth player in league history to have multiple three-home run games in one season.
