J.D. Martinez didn't waste any time in making a difference upon his return from the disabled list.

The Detroit Tigers slugger, who has been out of action since June with a fractured elbow, sent the first pitch he saw from Chicago White Sox left-hander Chris Sale deep over the center-field fence during an eighth-inning pinch-hit at-bat.

Martinez' dinger gave the Tigers a 2-1 lead and was well-received by his teammates.
