All is well and good with Chris Sale and his Chicago White Sox teammates after the left-hander spoke in front of them with the hope of putting a jersey-cutting incident, which resulted in a five-game suspension for the 27-year-old, behind him.

According to MLB.com's Scott Merkin, Sale stood in front of his teammates and spoke with manager Robin Ventura about his actions on Thursday.

"It's all squared away. Got on the same page," Sale said. "We are back to where we were before, trying to win games. Putting that in the forefront. I got my point across. I said the things I wanted to say and you move forward.

"I talked to everybody involved personally, one on one. Cleared the air, had some good talks. Learned some things. Talked about some things we already knew. It was good. It was very productive."

Sale was suspended by the team for "violating team rules, for insubordination, and destroying team equipment," on July 24 after he cut up vintage 1976 White Sox throwback jerseys - which he claimed were "uncomfortable and unorthodox" - the team were supposed to wear against the Detroit Tigers.

The southpaw believes the incident was blown out of proportion and shouldn't have received as much attention as it actually did.

"Like I said, everyone is making a little bit bigger deal of this," he explained. "Ten or 15 years ago, this wouldn't have been a story. There was no such thing as Twitter, and I don't think as much information leaked out as it does nowadays. It's just something that people gravitate to. It's the nature of the beast. I understand that. You move forward and keep a positive mind frame and come in every day with the same mindset."

The White Sox ace is one of the game's top pitchers, owning a 14-4 record with a 3.17 ERA and 1.03 WHIP across 20 starts.
