Here are theScore's outfielder value rankings for Saturday, July 23 (all stats exclude Friday's games):

Top Options
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Tyler Naquin (CLE) | at BAL | 8 |
Billy Hamilton (CIN) | vs. ARI | 8 |
Corey Dickerson (TB) | at OAK | 8 |
Naquin's price keeps creeping up, but it's justified - he's recorded seven hits (and three home runs) in his last four games. Batting .333 against right-handed pitching, he should offer a power threat against homer-prone Kevin Gausman.
Hamilton has begun seeing regular action at the top of the order, likely because of his recent strong production: his last four games have seen him tally four stolen bases, seven hits and four runs.
Dickerson exclusively faces right-handed pitching; all 14 of his home runs have come against RHPs this season. He's collected eight hits, including a home run, and five runs scored over his last three games. Oakland RHP Kendall Graveman has been solid of late, but has allowed lefties to hit .291 against him this season.
Mid-Tier Targets

Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Carlos Beltran (NYY) | vs. SF | 7 |
Adam Duvall (CIN) | vs. ARI | 7 |
Khris Davis (OAK) | vs. TB | 7 |
13 of Beltran's 20 home runs have come at home, with seven against right-handed pitching. Giants RHP Jeff Samardzija has allowed 13 homers on the road, and has seen lefty hitters bat .279 against him this season. Beltran comes much cheaper than some of his outfield teammates, despite them carrying far less of a power threat.
Duvall hasn't homered since before the All-Star break, and his price has taken a tumble. Arizona LHP Robbie Ray has surrendered 12 of 13 home runs to right-handed batters, and the Great American Ballpark won't offer much respite from the hitter-friendly Chase Field that Ray's used to.
Nothing to See Here

Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Brett Gardner (NYY) | vs. SF | 3 |
Jeff Francoeur (ATL) | at COL | 2 |
Randal Grichuk (STL) | vs. LAD | 2 |
It's hard to fathom why Gardner's price has spiked on some sites - while he has three multi-hit games in his last 10 outings, he's scored just four times and stolen one base.
All-or-nothing power threats can be found much cheaper than at Grichuk's current valuation. After a stretch of three home runs in five games, he's recorded just a single in eight subsequent at-bats.
Francoeur can be a solid budget option depending on the matchup, but he's not worthy of a hefty Coors Field price bump.
