Kevin Strootman won't be following Miralem Pjanic's footsteps.

On Thursday, Strootman addressed a number of topics including his immediate future, saying that his agent is talking to AS Roma but that his concentration is on "being important" rather than "extending his contract straight away."

One thing is certain, however. Strootman will not be joining Juventus.

The question comes one month after Pjanic completed a switch from Roma for a fee of €32 million, penning a five-year contract with Juventus.

In May, Strootman was included in Roma's starting XI for a Serie A fixture for the first time in 463 days. A horrific run of injuries forced the Dutch midfielder to undergo three operations on his left knee, but he admitted Thursday that he is feeling "fine."

"Physically I'm fine but there's a difference between being fit and being 100 percent," Strootman said. "As the coach has said, I need to get games under my belt - both friendlies and competitive matches. But physically I feel good and I'm happy about that. My knee feels fine: the doctors have done a great job."
