The road out of Rutgers is reportedly becoming a little more well traveled.

A person familiar to the situation reported that Scarlet Knights tight end Charles Scarff has elected to transfer, according to Ryan Dunleavy of NJ.com.

Scarff led all Scarlet Knights tight ends with 14 receptions for 100 yards and one touchdown last season. He joined Rutgers as a walk-on before receiving a one-year scholarship from former head coach Kyle Flood.

The 6-foot-4, 248-pound junior would have been competing with redshirt sophomore George Behr and redshirt freshman Nakia Griffin-Stewart for playing time in 2016.

Scarff joins defensive end Marques Ford, tight end Anthony Folkerts, and safety Davon Jacobs as players to transfer since the hiring of head coach Chris Ash.
