Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward's footballing education will continue under the watch of Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner, a former assistant of Jurgen Klopp's at Borussia Dortmund.

The 23-year-old moves to the Terriers on a season-long loan, joining after making one appearance during Wales' run to the Euro 2016 semi-finals.

"I've spoken before about using the loan market to bring special talent to the club and Danny is another great example of this, following closely on from Aaron Mooy's arrival. That is why there was such strong competition to take Danny.

"I would like to thank Liverpool FC for the help the staff at the club have given us in allowing Danny to join us."

Ward made two Premier League appearances last season following a loan spell with Aberdeen. He's been handed the No. 1 jersey and fills the void left by Jed Steer's return to parent club Aston Villa.
