The Denver Nuggets seemed like a long shot to sign unrestricted free agent Dwyane Wade, even after they reportedly put the largest offer on the table: a two-year deal worth over $50 million.
Wade ultimately decided to go home and join the Chicago Bulls for less money than Denver put up, but the Nuggets still managed to leave a positive impression on the All-Star guard during the free-agency process.
The three-time champion tweeted Saturday evening to publicly thank the Nuggets and give the franchise a seal of approval.
@nuggets I wanna thank U guys for WOW-ing my team and I. The future is bright for your organization. Much respect and this decision was hard
