Report: Nuggets offer Wade 2-year deal worth over $50M
The Denver Nuggets are apparently prepared to pay 34-year-old guard Dwyane Wade a hefty sum to lure him away from South Beach.
The unrestricted free agent has a two-year deal on the table from the Nuggets worth north of $50 million, league sources told ESPN's Marc Stein, which is what his representatives are currently seeking.
It's also approximately $10 million more than the Miami Heat's reported offer of $40 million over two years.
The Nuggets are reportedly hopeful Flash will take the bait, even though he's widely expected to stay with the only organization he's ever played for.
Miami reportedly originally offered a two-year, $20-million contract, but then doubled it after Wade made it clear that he was open to hearing out other teams, which included the New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks, and Chicago Bulls.
The reigning NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers also appear to be in the mix, as they're expected to meet with the 12-time All-Star in the not-too-distant future.
Wade averaged 19 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.6 assists last season in 74 appearances for the 48-34 Heat.
