San Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt and Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Michael Saunders have been named to their respective All-Star rosters, after MLB announced them as winners of the final vote.

Saunders will join Josh Donaldson, Edwin Encarnacion, and Marco Estrada as the fourth Blue Jays player to be an All-Star, though Estrada won't play after landing on the disabled list. It will be Saunders' first All-Star appearance.

"Captain Canada" is having a career year in his first full season with Toronto, batting .298/.372/.559 with 16 home runs and 41 runs driven in.

He beat out George Springer, Dustin Pedroia, Ian Kinsler, and Evan Longoria for the final spot in the festivities.

On the National League side, Belt edged out Starling Marte, a day after he slipped to second in the voting update.

Belt, who will also make his first All-Star Game appearance, is batting .300/.399/.519 with 10 home runs and 27 doubles for the first-place Giants.

The 28-year-old will join fellow Giants players Madison Bumgarner, Johnny Cueto, and Buster Posey. It was announced Friday that Bumgarner will miss the game, as he's slated to start Sunday.

Belt beat out Marte, Trevor Story, Jake Lamb, and Ryan Braun for the final roster spot on the NL squad.
