Donaldson, Seager headline All-Star reserves
Reigning American League MVP Josh Donaldson and Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager highlighted the reserves named to the AL and NL rosters for next Tuesday's 87th MLB All-Star Game in San Diego.
Donaldson, in the midst of another stellar season in Toronto, will make his third consecutive All-Star appearance. He's joined on the AL bench by Blue Jays teammate Edwin Encarnacion, who's also making his third trip to the Midsummer Classic. Other notable junior circuit reserves include talented Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor, Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera, and Rangers outfielder Ian Desmond, who got the nod in his first year playing the position.
