Wayne Rooney led England out for its Euro 2016 Round of 16 meeting against Iceland on Monday, and in doing so equalled David Beckham's 115 caps to be joint-second in the Three Lions' record appearance holders.

The Manchester United and England skipper was level with Steven Gerrard on 114, but is now 10 caps short of former goalkeeper Peter Shilton's 125 earned between 1970 and 1990.

Rooney is England's record goal-scorer with 52 goals, surpassing Sir Bobby Charlton's 49 back in September, and performed well in his two matches of Euro 2016 so far.
