Croatia, Turkey fans unite after violence plagues Euro 2016

Twitter

A sense of normality returned to the streets in France on Sunday after days of violence had cast a dark cloud over Euro 2016.

Not long after UEFA announced disciplinary proceedings are underway against Russia due to fan violence from Saturday, Croatia and Turkey fans opted to dance and sing together rather than spew hatred toward one another ahead of Sunday's Group D match.

Fans wearing both Croatia and Turkey strips gathered in Paris where they waved their flags and cheerfully hopped around.

It was a much better advertisement for the tournament than the scenes in Marseille where violence on the streets spilled into Stade Velodrome during a Group B encounter between England and Russia.
