Here are theScore's second baseman value rankings for Friday, May 27 (all stats exclude Thursday's games):

Value Rankings

Top Options

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Ben Zobrist (CHC) vs. PHI 9
Robinson Cano (SEA) vs. MIN 8
Rougned Odor (TEX) vs. PIT 8

Look for the Cubs' bats to feast on Phillies' LHP Adam Morgan, who is carrying a dreadful 5.91 ERA into the game. A multi-hit game out of Zobrist can't be ruled out of the question, as well as multiple runs scored.

Cano's power surge continues, as he has back-to-back multi-hit games where he hit a home run in each. Surely a matchup against Twins' spot starter Pat Dean will lead to a pile of shares tied into Cano.

Odor started off May hot, crushing four homers in 12 contests all while sporting a fantastic .345 OBP. Since then, his OBP has drastically fallen to .159 and he's hitting .143 without a homer, leading to him being heavily faded. His pending suspension could factor into his recent lackluster play, but a breakout game against lefty Jon Niese and his 4.76 ERA at home could be in the cards.

Mid-Tier Targets

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Jean Segura (ARI) vs. SD 7
Steve Pearce (TB) vs. NYY 7
Dustin Pedroia (BOS) at TOR 7
Daniel Murphy (WAS) vs. STL 7
DJ LeMahieu (COL) vs. SF 7
Derek Dietrich (MIA) at ATL 7

The Diamondbacks dodged a huge bullet with Segura, who took a pitch to the head Tuesday. He was expected to be headed to the 7-day DL with a concussion. Obviously, this was not the case, and he figures to assume his leadoff role and man the keystone Friday night. He's failed to record a hit in his last three contests, but he has scored two runs.

Murphy has carried the momentum from his magnificent 2015 postseason run into 2016 and continues to return value each time he steps to the dish. He has three straight multi-hit games and, like Cano, will see a high-ownership percentage.

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Jose Altuve (HOU) at LAA 6
Brett Lawrie (CWS) at KC 6
Aaron Hill (MIL) vs. CIN 6
Devon Travis (TOR) vs. BOS 6
Josh Harrison (PIT) at TEX 6
Chase Utley (LAD) at NYM 6

The Astros' star hitter has found himself in a bit of a slump, going hit-less over his past 17 at-bats.

The Blue Jays have welcomed back Travis with open arms, but don't bank on him starting Friday night against the Red Sox, as he is still adapting after starting the season on the DL. If he starts, his value lies in GPPs.

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Joe Panik (SF) at COL 5
Starlin Castro (NYY) at TB 5
Brandon Phillips (CIN) at MIL 5
Neil Walker (NYM) vs. LAD 5
Johnny Giavotella (LAA) vs. HOU 5
Jed Lowrie (OAK) at DET 5

The lefty-lefty split doesn't work in favor of Panik and his DFS salary has skyrocketed overnight due to playing at Coors Field. Prior to his current 0-for-10 stretch, he was 9-for-16 with three extra-base hits. If the Giants bats produce, a big night for Panik could be in the cards.

Nothing to See Here

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Brian Dozier (MIN) at SEA 4
Kolten Wong (STL) at WAS 3
Cesar Hernandez (PHI) at CHC 3
Ryan Goins (TOR) vs. BOS 3
Omar Infante (KC) vs. CWS 3

Typically, no batter from the Twins feeble offense is worth investing in, especially with Mariners' ace Felix Hernandez on the mound. Dozier is batting just .200 on the season and has little protection in the lineup, with the team owning a .301 OBP. Fade him.
