The New Orleans Saints' OTA practices begin Tuesday, and quarterback Drew Brees has confirmed that he'll be in attendance despite the fact he's yet to receive a new contract extension.

Brees, who's entering the final year of his current deal, said he's not planning on staying away from the team to force negotiations forward.

"I'm not missing any offseason," Brees told ESPN's Mike Triplett.

The 37-year-old's agent, Tom Condon, said recently that he believes the Saints are satisfied with carrying his client's $30-million cap hit in 2016.

Brees will likely command a new deal that will place him among the highest-paid players in the league.

He has previously emphasized his desire to stay with the Saints for the foreseeable future, but said he's prepared to play out the final year of his contract and resume negotiations with the team after the 2016 season ends.
