White: Trip to meet with Nate Diaz 'didn't go well'
The UFC may be in the process of repairing its relationship with Conor McGregor, but Nate Diaz doesn't yet appear to be on board with the rematch fight fans around the world are waiting to see.
Dana White was reportedly visibly upset leaving a meeting with Diaz in Stockton, Calif., on Friday, and the UFC president later confirmed to TMZ that the trip hadn't gone as planned.
"Obviously I'm not going to disclose details of the deal, but let's just say my trip to Stockton didn't go well," White said.
A McGregor-Diaz rematch was initially set to headline the star-studded UFC 200 card before McGregor failed to follow through on his promotional obligations.
While it's long been expected that the fight would be rescheduled for either UFC 201 or UFC 202, there may still be some significant work to do in negotiations with at least one of the two stars.
