McGregor in a 'good place' with UFC after meeting

Conor McGregor's relationship with the UFC appears to be heading in the right direction.

McGregor met with UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta and UFC president Dana White on Wednesday in Los Angeles to discuss the future of their partnership. The meeting lasted for more than two hours and "The Notorious One" believes they've put aside their issues.

"I met with Dana and Mr. Fertitta, good conversation like it always is," McGregor told ESPN on Thursday, according to Damon Martin of FOX Sports. "We have a good relationship. It is what it is. It happens. This is the fight game. Sometimes emotions get into it but it's important to recognize that emotions have no place in business.

"So that's essentially what it was last night. We just set it aside. There's no place for emotions in this. We are doing beautiful things so let's continue. Let's fix it and continue."

McGregor hadn't met with the UFC since he was pulled from the main event of UFC 200 due to his refusal to participate in any of the promotions.

It's still unclear when McGregor will fight next and who his opponent will be, but sources told Martin that the most likely landing spot would be UFC 202 in August and that the rematch with Nate Diaz is still in the cards for the Irishman's next bout.
