Rough past: 3 other times Odor started beef

MLB.com

Rougned Odor has been the focal point of a few bench-clearing brawls.

When he punched Jose Bautista square in the jaw in what turned out to be the climax of the Toronto Blue Jays-Texas Rangers rivalry, it was a move we've seen before.

In fact, anyone who knows Odor knows he's done much worse in the past as a big leaguer, and in the minors. Here, we take a look at Odor's past, and the build up to his all-too-familiar antics on the diamond.

Cleats up

There's a difference between going in hard and going in dirty on a slide. Although Bautista's slide was late on Odor, it was nothing compared to what Odor did to Johnny Giavotella last season.

The first brawl

In his first year of pro ball back in 2011, Odor was a 17-year-old with the Low-A Spokane Indians. In a game against the Vancouver Canadians, Odor slid way past second base on a double play. After a few words with the second baseman, his push-back, right-hook combo was born.

What did you say?

Again in 2015, Odor was back at it, but instead of using his fists, he used his words. Prior to stepping up to the dish against the Houston Astros, Odor had some words for catcher Hank Conger, which prompted the benches to clear. Odor went on to rip a triple, and bat flip in the process.

Blue Jay battery

It all boiled over against the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday. It started with Jose Bautista getting drilled by a 97-mph Matt Bush fastball, followed by a late slide into second, and well, you know the rest.
