Report: Phil Jackson had 'clandestine meeting' with Frank Vogel
So much for being on vacation.
New York Knicks president Phil Jackson had a "clandestine meeting" with free-agent coach Frank Vogel last week in Los Angeles, according to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News.
Knicks general manager Steve Mills also reportedly attended the meeting.
Jackson has hardly been heard from this offseason, apart from checking in on Twitter to update people on his trip - which reportedly took him to his summer home in Montana to "collect his thoughts" about the Knicks' coaching search.
On top of Vogel, the Knicks have met with former Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt, and their interim coach, Kurt Rambis - who was holding triangle seminars with Jackson for the Knicks last month - remains firmly in the mix to take over on a permanent basis.
Vogel was let go by the Indiana Pacers following a 45-win season that ended in a seven-game first-round playoff defeat.
