Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Aaron Hill (MIL) | vs. SD | 9 |
Chase Utley (LAD) | vs. NYM | 9 |
Jean Segura (ARI) | vs. SF | 8 |
Jose Altuve (HOU) | at BOS | 8 |
Hill remains a DFS bargain after two down seasons in Arizona and a slow start to his Brewers career. However, in his last 10 games the veteran infielder is hitting .455 with three home runs. He and James Shields have squared off many times in the past with Hill getting the upper hand, recording a .286/.362/.643 slash line in 42 at-bats.
Utley usually slots in as the Dodgers' leadoff man when a righty toes the rubber for the opposition. The veteran Dodger has refined his approach this season, hitting the ball up the middle 4.4 percent more than his career average. It's led to a .318 average and .426 OBP against right-handers. He's a great cash game play against Bartolo Colon - a pitcher he's very familiar with.

Mid-Tier Targets
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Jonathan Schoop (BAL) | vs. DET | 7 |
Starlin Castro (NYY) | vs. KC | 7 |
Andres Blanco (PHI) | at ATL | 7 |
Dustin Pedroia (BOS) | vs. HOU | 6 |
Ian Kinsler (DET) | at BAL | 5 |
Johnny Giavotella (LAA) | vs. STL | 5 |
Omar Infante (KC) | at NYY | 5 |
Cesar Hernandez (PHI) | at ATL | 5 |
Blanco doesn't get into the lineup on an everyday basis, but he has certainly made the most of his opportunities. The journeyman infielder has a .324 average and a .390 OBP in 41 plate appearances this season. He owns a solid .269 batting average for his career - not bad for a middle infielder - but has never been able to stick with one team. He provides very nice budget relief.

St. Louis' second base duo has combined for a .208 batting average this season. Neither are worth drafting even against over-the-hill right-hander Jered Weaver.
