Value Rankings
C | 1B/DH | 2B | SS | 3B | OF | SP

Top Options

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Hanley Ramirez (BOS) vs. HOU 10
C.J. Cron (LAA) vs. STL 10
Miguel Cabrera (DET) at BAL 9
Chris Carter (MIL) vs. SD 9
Freddie Freeman (ATL) vs. PHI 9
Matt Adams (STL) at LAA 9
Victor Martinez (DET) at BAL 8
Adrian Gonzalez (LAD) vs. NYM 8
Brandon Belt (SF) at ARI 8

Ramirez's adjustment to the American League has taken longer than expected, but it seems as though the Hanley of old has finally arrived. In his last 10 games, the former Rookie of the Year has a .462 OBP and three home runs. Expect a big game from the right-handed hitter against struggling left-hander Dallas Keuchel. Last year's Cy Young winner has a 1.52 WHIP this season.

Cron offers plenty of upside at a low price. He got off to a slow start this season, but is hitting .419 in his last 10 games. Cron has just one big fly this season despite having plenty of power. He had hit a home run every 22.9 at-bats heading into this season, so expect his second long ball to come soon considering how well he is seeing the ball at the moment.

Mid-Tier Targets

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Paul Goldschmidt (ARI) vs. SF 7
Chris Davis (BAL) vs. DET 7
David Ortiz (BOS) vs. HOU 7
Eric Hosmer (KC) at NYY 7
Hyun Soo Kim (BAL) vs. DET 7
Ryan Howard (PHI) at ATL 6
Brandon Moss (STL) at LAA 5
Albert Pujols (LAA) vs. STL 5
Pedro Alvarez (BAL) vs. DET 5

In case you're new to DFS, a player like Howard is only worth drafting in GPPs. He has plenty of home run power with seven on the season, but he is hitting just .177. The left-handed hitter will be facing an unproven right-hander in Aaron Blair. As mentioned, his boom-or-bust style is best used as a low-cost, GPP contrarian play.

Nothing to See Here

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Wil Myers (SD) at MIL 4
Mark Teixeira (NYY) vs. KC 3
Kendrys Morales (KC) at NYY 3
Lucas Duda (NYM) at LAD 2
Tyler White (HOU) at BOS 2

Duda, a left-handed hitter, will be facing one of the best southpaws of our generation in Clayton Kershaw. The New York one-bagger owns a meager .222 average against lefties for his career.

White got off to great start in his MLB career, but the league has clearly figured him out. In his last 15 games, the rookie is hitting just .140/.200/.200.
