Country star Garth Brooks wants Arkansas in the Big 12

Garth Brooks has weighed in on possible Big 12 expansion, and his school of choice would involve a raid on the SEC.

The two-time Grammy-winning country singer joined SiriusXM College SportsNation on Wednesday, and dropped a very interesting suggestion about who he wants the conference to add.

"I was always pulling for Arkansas," Brooks told host Chris Childers. "I've love to have seen them come in because they're right next door."

Brooks is an Oklahoma native, and also ran track at Oklahoma State, so the desire to see the neighbors compete is the fuel behind his idea.

"Some of the greatest football games of old when I was a kid was the University of Oklahoma and Arkansas, so I wanted to see them come in."

The two schools have played 14 times, while the Razorbacks have battled Oklahoma State 46 times in the school's history. It's unlikely Arkansas would leave the riches and stability of the SEC for the Big 12, but rivalry games against the Oklahoma schools are certainly a great idea for non-conference matchups.
