Friday's Third Baseman Value Rankings

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Here are theScore's pitcher value rankings for Friday, May 6 (all stats exclude Thursday's games):

Value Rankings
C | 1B/DH | 2B | SS | 3B | OF | SP

Top Options

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Brandon Drury (ARI) at ATL 10
Martin Prado (MIA) vs. PHI 9
David Wright (NYM) at SD 8
Kyle Seager (SEA) at HOU 8
Josh Harrison (PIT) at STL 8

Drury is still absurdly cheap despite hitting .366 with four home runs and five doubles over his last 10 games. He has hit out of the two-spot in seven out of his last 11 starts, so at his price, it won't take much to return tournament value hitting in front of 1B Paul Goldschmidt.

Prado is slightly more expensive than Drury, but he too is hitting high in the order in front of a superstar slugger. He currently sits third in the majors among qualified batters with an absurd .379 batting average. Roster him in cash games.

Mid-Tier Targets

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Adrian Beltre (TEX) at DET 7
Nick Castellanos (DET) vs. TEX 7
Travis Shaw (BOS) at NYY 7
Josh Donaldson (TOR) vs. LAD 6
Kris Bryant (CHC) vs. WAS 6
Justin Turner (LAD) at TOR 6
Trevor Plouffe (MIN) at CWS 5
Evan Longoria (TB) at LAA 5
Manny Machado (BAL) vs. OAK 5
Anthony Rendon (WAS) at CHC 5
Matt Duffy (SF) vs. COL 5
Todd Frazier (CWS) vs. MIN 4
Jake Lamb (ARI) at ATL 4
Aaron Hill (MIL) at CIN 4
Yunel Escobar (LAA) vs. TB 4

Beltre has crushed right-handed pitching in his career, but he has only hit .194 with a .268 OBP over his last 10 games. He'll take on the Tigers at their pitcher-friendly ballpark, squaring off against Jordan Zimmermann, who has won each of his five starts this season while posting a fantastic 0.55 ERA. Beltre's cheap price still makes him a savvy contrarian play.

Nothing to See Here

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Nolan Arenado (COL) at SF 3
Maikel Franco (PHI) at MIA 3
Matt Carpenter (STL) vs. PIT 3
Mike Moustakas (KC) at CLE 2
Brett Wallace (SD) vs. NYM 2
Luis Valbuena (HOU) vs. SEA 2
Adonis Garcia (ATL) vs. ARI 2
Chris Coghlan (OAK) at BAL 1

Arenado has always hit worse on the road and has a very tough match-up in the Giants' ace, Madison Bumgarner. Similarly, Franco and Carpenter are at a disadvantage against veteran left-handed pitching.
