Gibbons leaves note for reporters in lieu of interview

John Gibbons' team lost 11-0 on Monday night, so he clearly wasn't in much of a talking mood on Tuesday.

The Toronto Blue Jays manager decided to leave an apparently hastily-written note for reporters instead of doing his usual pregame scrums prior to Tuesday's contest against the Detroit Tigers. Apparently, he specifically addressed it to one reporter in particular.

The events he's referring to, in order: Switch-pitcher Pat Venditte was called up from Triple-A after the bullpen was taxed in Monday's debacle; infielder Matt Dominguez was sent down in a corresponding move; Tuesday's starter, Aaron Sanchez, should be good.

The affable Texan relented shortly afterwards and gave reporters a few minutes, where he apparently said exactly what he wrote.

Never change, Gibby.
