- Joey Bosa is about as solid as a defensive prospect gets. Though he's an obvious fit at end in a 4-3 front, his pass-rush ability will also generate interest from 3-4 teams looking for an upgrade on the edge. After a junior season in which opposing teams constantly threw double-team blocks his way, Bosa is the rare player who could enjoy a bump in production as a pro.
- The concerns about Noah Spence primarily relate to his off-field issues. If teams came away from pre-draft meetings comfortable with his growth, his talent level certainly warrants an early selection. Spence's combination of explosiveness off the ball and quickness around the edge gives him as much pass-rush upside as any prospect in this draft.
- Kamalei Correa is a name to keep an eye on beyond the first tier of pass-rushers. His transition to the NFL involves plenty of projection, but the traits for success are certainly there. Correa proved capable of beating opposing linemen in a number of different ways en route to 18 sacks over his final two seasons at Boise State.
