Stacks of the Day - Expect Arizona to Tear a Strip(ling) off the Dodgers
Here are the top stacks for Thursday, April 14:
Arizona Diamondbacks (at Dodgers)
Ross Stripling will take the mound in a follow-up to his no-hit bid that is sure to disappoint. The rookie pitched 7.1 innings, coming just five outs away from recording a no-no in his debut before getting yanked. The four Ks to four walks over that many innings isn't dominant, but ace-material can't really be expected from the Dodgers' 14th-ranked prospect.
The Diamondbacks will have a great opportunity to knock Stripling down a few pegs. Lead-off man SS Jean Segura has hit .423 against RHPs this season and middle-of-the-lineup bats 3B Jake Lamb and OF David Peralta have both hit above .300 as well.
1B Paul Goldschmidt is in the middle of it all, posting a .299 average against righties over the past three seasons; he has three homers against RHPs in 2016. Any stack against Stripling needs to feature the MVP candidate.
3-player stack: Goldschmidt, Segura, Peralta
5-player stack: Goldschmidt, Segura, Peralta, Lamb, Welington Castillo

Toronto Blue Jays (vs. Yankees)
The Blue Jays may have started cold, but they have to be considered a top stacking option whenever they have a game - especially in Toronto, where power sluggers can do major damage. Yankees SP Nathan Eovaldi will be making his first start north of the border and could be in for a rude awakening.
Slugers Josh Donaldson, Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion hit a combined 100 home runs against right-handed pitchers in 2015. All three will come at a ridiculous price, so you'll need to swap Bautista or Encarnacion for OF Michael Saunders, or be prepared to punt on other positions.
3-player stack: Donaldson, Bautista, Saunders
5-player stack: Donaldson, Bautista, Encarnacion, Saunders, Ryan Goins

Texas Rangers (vs. Orioles)
Orioles SP Chris Tillman has posted a poor 4.67 ERA in six starts in Texas against the Rangers. Texas' boom-or-bust hitters have hit five homers at home off of Tillman over his career.
1B Prince Fielder hit .343 against right-handers last season and should be the focal point of the stack. Rookie OF Nomar Mazara will make his home debut, batting just ahead of Fielder and his modest salary should help balance the books. The duo should be handcuffed on Thursday.
2B Rougned Odor has struggled to begin the year but hit five of his 16 homers at home against RHPs in 2015; he offers good power at a position short on HR potential.
3-player stack: Fielder, Mazara, Adrian Beltre
5-player stack: Fielder, Mazara, Odor, Beltre, Ryan Rua
