Counterattack - Trust Arenado's Power Against Padres

Here are the top contrarian options for Sunday's 15-game slate:

3B Nolan Arenado, Rockies (vs. Padres)

This is not the start to the season Arenado would have hoped for. Arenado has just one home run and three RBI this season - all coming on Opening Day against Diamondbacks ace Zack Greinke.

He's among the most expensive third basemen on Sunday's slate and will be heavily faded in every format despite a favorable matchup against LHP James Shields, a pitcher he has enjoyed plenty of success against in years past.

He's 10-for-20 all-time against Shields, crushing three home runs and knocking in five RBI. Pay up for him with a plus matchup at home in the friendly confines of Coors Field.

SP Marco Estrada, Blue Jays (vs. Red Sox)

Estrada is in line to receive the start on Sunday for the Blue Jays against the Red Sox, but has been battling back soreness all spring - which leaves his status up in the air.

The Blue Jays have struggled to start the season and have dropped two straight games to the Red Sox at the Rogers Centre. Estrada's terrific 1.04 WHIP from last year could be the missing piece to Toronto's pitching woes.

He will be left unowned due to his uncertain status and the fact the Red Sox have scored 16 runs on the Blue Jays this series.

1B Anthony Rizzo, Cubs (at Diamondbacks)

The Cubs' and Diamondbacks' first series of the season is split at one win each with Shelby Miller taking the mound. That doesn't bode well for Cubs power hitter Rizzo, who has struggled to figure out Miller early in his career.

He's an abysmal 2-for-11 against Miller, which will lead to DFS owners fading him and his hefty cost. Don't. Though his splits against Miller are alarming, he still favors hitting righties and has been a fantasy juggernaut to start the season. He's a tournament gem on Sunday.
