NCAA Game Summary - Wyoming at Boise State

Boise, ID (SportsNetwork.com) - Jay Ajayi scored three rushing touchdowns and Grant Hedrick threw for three more as the Boise State Broncos routed the Wyoming Cowboys, 48-7, in a Mountain West Conference matchup at Bronco Stadium.

Hedrick threw for 265 yards and the three scores on 27-of-36 passing and was its last six games. Ajayi rushed for 70 yards on 11 carries and Devan Demas had 73 yards on 12 attempts. Matt Miller hauled in a trio of touchdowns and finished with 143 yards on seven receptions. Shane Williams-Rhodes caught 11 passes for 78 yards as well.

Brett Smith threw for 207 yards and a touchdown on 27-of-39 passing but was also intercepted twice for Wyoming (4-6, 2-4), which has lost four-straight. Robert Herron had 86 yards and a score on 10 receptions and Dominic Rufran recorded eight receptions for 83 yards.

Wyoming led 7-0 early in the first quarter after Smith threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Herron.

A 22-yard touchdown run from Ajayi and a 14-yard touchdown pass from Hedrick to Miller, pushed the Broncos to a 14-7 lead before the first quarter came to an end.

Ajayi scored on a 12-yard touchdown run in the first minute of the second quarter and Miller caught his second touchdown pass on a 48-yard strike from Hedrick less than five minutes later.

A 47-yard field goal from Dan Goodale and a two-yard touchdown run from Ajayi in the first four minutes of the second half allowed the Broncos to pull even further ahead.

Miller and Hedrick would hook up again, this time from five yards out, later in the third quarter as the points kept coming for the Broncos.

Goodale tacked on a 35-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter to finish off the scoring.

Boise State finished with 524 yards of total offense and converted on 9-of-19 attempts on third down. Wyoming had just 265 yards of total offense.
