NCAA Game Summary - Colorado at Utah

Salt Lake City, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - Kelvin York rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns as the Utah Utes outlasted the Colorado Buffaloes, 24-17, in the regular season finale for both teams at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

York had 31 carries for Utah (5-7, 2-7 Pac-12), which got 233 yards through the air from Adam Schulz. Schulz completed 19-of-33 pass attempts and had an interception to match a touchdown pass. Jake Murphy had eight receptions for 93 yards and a score and Dres Anderson tacked on 94 yards on seven receptions.

Sefo Liufau threw for 241 yards and two touchdowns but completed just 23-of-46 pass attempts and was intercepted once for Colorado (4-8, 1-8). Nelson Spruce had six catches for 66 yards and a touchdown, Scott Fernandez added 61 yards and a score on four receptions and Paul Richardson finished with 54 yards on four receptions of his own.

The Utes broke out to a 21-0 lead at halftime behind a 16-yard touchdown pass from Schulz to Murphy and a pair of rushing touchdowns from York.

The Buffaloes comeback attempt began early in the third quarter when Fernandez hauled in a 34-yard touchdown pass from Liufau.

Will Oliver knocked in a 19-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter but Any Phillips responded with a 46-yard field goal for Utah.

Spruce scored on a 14-yard touchdown reception late in the fourth quarter but that was as close as Colorado would come.

Colorado converted on only 2-of-14 third down attempts. Utah limited the Buffaloes to 48 yards rushing on 25 carries.
