NCAA Game Summary - Boston College at Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Terrel Hunt threw an eight-yard touchdown pass to Josh Parris in the final seconds to lift the Syracuse Orange to a thrilling, 34-31, victory over the Boston College Eagles in ACC action at the Carrier Dome.

Hunt threw for 270 yards and two scores on 29-of-43 passing and also added 90 yards and a touchdown on the ground for Syracuse (6-6, 4-4 ACC). Alvin Cornelius had seven catches for 81 yards and Parris had seven receptions of his own for 47 yards and two scores.

Heisman hopeful Andre Williams, who entered play as the nation's leading rusher, left the game in the third quarter, due to an injury, with just 29 yards for Boston College (7-5, 4-4). Chase Rettig threw for 168 yards and two scores, but was intercepted once on 12-of-20 passing. Rettig also led the team with 85 yards rushing.

Williams looked just fine in the first quarter when he scored on a 26-yard touchdown run late in the frame.

Parris brought in his first touchdown pass from a yard out early on in the second quarter.

George Morris and Hunt would each add touchdown runs in the period to stake the Orange to a 21-7 lead.

Rettig fit in a nine-yard touchdown pass to C.J. Parsons before halftime.

Rettig then evened the score at 21-21 with a nine-yard touchdown pass to Jake Sinkovec early in the third quarter.

Syracuse answered with a 42-yard field goal from Ryan Norton to push ahead once again.

Midway through the fourth quarter Retting punched it in from a yard out for a touchdown that put the Eagles back out in front.

The two teams traded field goals from there to put the score at 31-27 in favor of the Eagles with just over two minutes to play.

Hunt and the Orange took over and capped off the 75-yard, game-winning drive with the touchdown pass to Parris.
