NCAA Game Summary - Colorado State at Utah State

Logan, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - Joey DeMartino had 127 rushing yards and the Aggies' defense was relentless as Utah State defeated the Colorado State Rams, 13-0, in a Mountain West Conference tilt at Romney Stadium.

The Aggies' (7-4, 6-1 MWC) quarterback Darell Garretson had 43 passing yards on 8-of-11 passing. DeMartino had a career-high 35 rushing attempts with a touchdown. Jake Doughty led the defense with 12 total tackles while Alexander MAur and Zach Vigil made nine stops apiece.

Garret Grayson struggled while under center for the Rams (6-6, 4-3) as he finished with only 147 yards through the air on 16-of-39 passing and was picked off twice. Kapri Bibbs had 54 yards on 18 rushing attempts. Kivon Cartwright had three catches with 45 yards.

It took nearly the entire first half any points were scored. Nick Diaz connected on a 24-yard field goal to make it 3-0 with 26 remaining in the second quarter.

Utah State carried its momentum through the break and scored on its first drive of the second half. DeMartino finished off an 11 play, 69-yard drive, with a one-yard touchdown rush.

A 44-yard field goal by Diaz made the score 13-0 with 9:59 remaining in the game.

This game marks the Aggies fourth straight victory.

Colorado State come into Saturday averaging 36.5 points per game which was good for 26th in the nation. The Rams were limited to only 185 yards of total offense while the Aggies compiled only 191 total yards.
