NCAA Game Summary - Pittsburgh at Georgia Tech

Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Robert Godhigh ran for 89 yards and two touchdowns as the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets posted a 21-10 win over the Pittsburgh Panthers in an Atlantic Coast Conference showdown at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

Godhigh carried the ball just six times for the Yellow Jackets (6-3, 5-2 ACC) as they logged their third straight win while facing the Panthers (4-4, 2-3) for the first time since 1976. David Sims ran for a game-high 94 yards and a score, while quarterback Vad Lee connected on half of his 10 pass attempts for 84 yards.

The Panthers, losers of two straight and three of the last four, were paced by Tom Savage who was 25-of-37 for 233 yards and a touchdown passing, but he was also picked off once and sacked five times.

Tech jumped on top in the first quarter when Sims found his way into the end zone on a 12-yard run, capping a seven-play, 64-yard drive.

In the second frame the Panthers finally broke through when Chris Blewitt knocked through a 44-yard field goal to cut the deficit to 7-3 with 9:48 remaining in the half.

On their next possession, the Yellow Jackets pushed their advantage to double figures, thanks to a 35-yard TD run by Godhigh.

The only points of the third quarter came from Pittsburgh as Savage hooked up with Tyler Boyd on a 12-yard scoring play, but that would be it for the Panthers in the scoring department.

The hosts put an exclamation point on the meeting when Godhigh's 11-yard TD run late in the fourth quarter finished off a 13-play, 80-yard drive that consumed more than seven minutes on the clock.

Pittsburgh finished the night with minus-five yards rushing on 21 attempts and just 228 yards of total offense overall.
