Oxford, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Willie Moore posted a game-high 17 points, leading four starters in double figures, as the RedHawks of Miami-Ohio defeated the Kent State Golden Flashes, 71-64, in the first round of the 35th annual Mid-American Conference Tournament at Millett Hall.

A tight game throughout, neither team led by more than five in the first half, and while the RedHawks missed all four of their opportunities behind the 3- point line in the frame, they capitalized with 13-of-18 shooting at the free- throw line to move out to a 33-31 lead at the break.
