NCAA Game Summary - Loyola-Chicago vs. Bradley

St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Milton Doyle hit a 3-pointer as time expired, as the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers claimed a dramatic 74-72 victory over the Bradley Braves in the opening round of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament at the Scottrade Center.

Doyle scored 19 points for the 10th-seeded Ramblers (10-21), who snapped a six-game losing streak and will take on second-seeded Indiana State in Friday's semifinals. Devon Turk and Jeff White each had 14 points, while Christian Thomas added 12.

Tyshon Pickett finished with 25 points and seven rebounds for the seventh- seeded Braves (12-20), who finished their season with three straight losses. Walt Lemon, Jr. added 24 points and Omari Grier chipped in 12.

Loyola shot 61.5 percent from the field in the first period, including 6- of-8 from 3-point range, as it led 43-35 at the break. Bradley was also hot, making 58.3 percent of its field goal tries.

The Braves shot well in the second half too by connecting on 52.4 percent of their shots from the floor and going 13-of-13 from the free-throw line. With four second remaining, Lemon, Jr. made two free-throws to put Bradley up one. After a timeout, Doyle hit the game winning 3-pointer with no time left on the clock.

In a game that consisted of eight ties and seven lead changes, the Ramblers' bench outscored the Braves' reserves, 19-3.
