NCAA Game Summary - Lehigh at Holy Cross

Worcester, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - Malcolm Miller scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the third-seeded Holy Cross Crusaders over the Lehigh Mountain Hawks, 54-48, in the quarterfinal round of the Patriot League Tournament at the Hart Center.

Dave Dudzinski added 12 points and Anthony Thompson dished out nine assists for the Crusaders (19-12), who advance to the semifinals Saturday night, where they will travel to Washington D.C. to take on second-seeded American.

For the Mountain Hawks (14-18), Mackey McKnight paced the team with 18 points and eight rebounds.

Holy Cross shot 42.3 percent from the field to start the game, including 4- of-9 from 3-point range, as the Crusaders took a 28-24 lead into the break. Lehigh struggled from the field in the first half, making just 29.4 percent of its field goal tries, including a mere 2-of-11 from beyond the arc.

After intermission, both squads struggled from the floor. The Crusaders shot 38.5 percent and made 2-of-8 from the perimeter. The Mountain Hawks made only 35.7 percent of their shots, missing all but one of their 10 tries from 3- point range. The Mountain Hawks trimmed a 12-point second-half deficit down to two, 50-48, in the final minute, but Lehigh couldn't score the rest of the way as the Crusaders held on for the victory.

The Crusaders finished the game with an 18-9 scoring advantage from 3-point distance. The Mountain Hawks did outrebound the Crusaders, 40-34.
