NCAA Game Summary - LSU vs. Kentucky

Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Led by 21 points from James Young, the second-seeded Kentucky Wildcats easily defeated the seventh-seeded LSU Tigers, 85-67, in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament at the Georgia Dome.

For the Wildcats (23-9), Julius Randle added a double-double with 17 points and 16 rebounds, while Aaron Harrison finished with 14 points and Andrew Harrison scored 11 and dished out eight assists. The Wildcats also got strong production from inside, with Dakari Johnson scoring nine and grabbing 11 rebounds and Willie Cauley-Stein blocking six shots.

Kentucky will face third-seeded Georgia in Saturday's SEC semifinal round.

Johnny O'Bryant led the Tigers (19-13) with 18 points, adding seven rebounds before fouling out, while Andre Stringer scored 14. Jordan Mickey posted a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds and Shavon Coleman chipped in with 10 points.

LSU jumped out to a 22-14 lead just seven minutes into the contest, but Kentucky responded with a 19-2 run to jump ahead and take a 42-32 lead at the break. LSU shot 44.4 percent from the field and also 4-of-10 from 3-point range, but committed eight turnovers in the first half.

The Wildcats remained consistent after the break, connecting on 47.6 percent of their shots from the field after hitting on 47.1 percent through the first 20 minutes of action. Kentucky also knocked down 20-of-26 at the free-throw line in the second half to keep its distance.

Kentucky dominated LSU on the boards, 48-32, and outscored the Tigers at the charity stripe, 26-12.
