NCAA Game Summary - Wright State at Cleveland State

Green Bay, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - Cole Darling netted 21 points, hitting a perfect 10-of-10 from the free-throw line, as the third-seeded Wright State Raiders upset the second-seeded Cleveland State Vikings, 68-63, in the semifinal round of the Horizon League Tournament at Resch Center.

Miles Dixon chipped in 17 points with four steals for Wright State (20-13), which will advance to the title game to take on Milwaukee on Tuesday. A.J. Pacher contributed 11 points and eight rebounds in the victory.

Charlie Lee scored 16 points to pace Cleveland State (21-11), which earned its double-bye into the semifinal round after garnering the second seed in the Horizon League. Trey Lewis tallied 14 points, and Anton Grady notched a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Vikings.

Wright State was clearly on a mission right from the opening tip. The Raiders netted 61.9 percent of their field goal tries in the first half, including 5- of-8 from 3-point distance, to take a 37-31 lead into the intermission. Cleveland State hit 47.4 percent of its shots in the frame, and connected on 11-of-12 from the free-throw line.

The Raiders cooled off a bit in the second half, hitting on 47.4 percent of their attempts from the field, including 2-of-6 from deep. The Vikings hit just 34.6 percent of their shots in the period, but made 5-of-12 from distance and were able to shave one point off of Wright State's lead. In the end, Cleveland State's comeback attempt wasn't good enough, and the Raiders were able to advance to the Horizon League championship game for the second straight year.

Wright State held the advantage in points in the paint, 26-18. Cleveland State had the edge in points off turnovers, 17-11, and in rebounds, 28-20.
