NCAA Game Summary - James Madison vs. Towson

Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - Four McGlynn scored 21 points and Jerrelle Benimon recorded a double-double as the Towson Tigers defeated the James Madison Dukes 80-71 in the quarterfinals of the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament at Baltimore Arena.

Benimon had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the second-seeded Tigers (23-9), who move on to battle either the College of Charleston or William & Mary in the semifinals. Mike Burwell added 17 points and Marcus Damas chipped in 14.

Andre Nation netted 18 points for JMU (11-20). Charles Cooke tallied 14 points and Ron Curry chimed in with 13.

Towson only had nine field goals in the first half, but it hit 4-of-8 from beyond the arc and 12-of-19 at the free-throw line to enter halftime leading 34-27. The seventh-seeded Dukes netted just 38.5 percent from the floor in the frame.

The Tigers heated up to 58.3 percent shooting in the final 20 minutes, while also sinking 27-of-42 attempts from the charity stripe. JMU hit on 35.7 percent from the floor in second stanza.

JMU did outscore Towson in the paint (30-14) and off of turnovers (13-6) in the losing effort.
