NCAA Game Summary - Chattanooga at Western Carolina

Cullowhee, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Casey Jones poured in a team-high 19 points, including the game-winning bucket in the final minute of overtime, as the Chattanooga Mocs outlasted the Western Carolina Catamounts, 83-81, in Southern Conference action at the Ramsey Center.

Z. Mason came off the bench to tally 16 points and six rebounds for Chattanooga (17-13, 11-4 SoCon), which had lost two straight coming in. Gee McGhee added 15 points for the visitors, while Ronrico White netted 13 points.

For WCU (17-13, 10-5), which snapped a three-game winning streak, Brandon Boggs scored a game-high 22 points on 7-of-12 field goal shooting, including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. James Sinclair registered 19 points and nine rebounds, while Trey Sumler posted 15 points and seven assists.

Chattanooga shot 45.5 percent from the field in the first half, slightly better than WCU's 42.4 percent performance, as it took a 38-36 lead into intermission.

The Catamounts took control early in the second stanza and led by nine with 14:21 to go, but the Mocs stormed back and held a five-point lead with under five minutes left. WCU went back ahead by three with 21 seconds left following a pair of Boggs free throws, but Chattanooga tied the game with eight seconds to play on a Martynas Bareika 3-pointer to force overtime.

In the extra session, WCU held a four-point lead with 33 seconds to play, but Chattanooga finished the game on a 6-0 run, with Jones' layup with 13 seconds left proving to be the game-winner.

The Mocs shot 29-of-38 at the free-throw line, while WCU was just 15-of-22.
