NCAA Game Summary - Monmouth at Siena

Albany, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Brett Bisping scored 17 points, despite shooting 3-of-11 from the floor, as the Siena Saints rolled over the Monmouth Hawks in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference bout at the Times Union Center.

Bisping knocked down 11-of-12 shots at the free-throw line for Siena (15-16, 11-9 MAAC), which ended its regular season on Sunday with its fourth-straight win. Evan Hymes added 15 points, Lavon Long chipped in 10 and Imoh Silas grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked six shots.

Andrew Nicholas netted 18 points and Deon Jones contributed 14 for Monmouth (11-20, 5-15), which lost 10 of its final 11 games of the season.

Despite shooting a modest 40 percent from the floor in the first half, Siena rolled into halftime leading, 35-23, by limiting Monmouth to 27.6 percent shooting.

The Saints kept up the defensive pressure in the second half, holding the Hawks to 37.9 percent shooting, while sinking 44.8 percent of their own field goal tries.

Siena had a 22-13 scoring advantage from the free-throw line.
