NCAA Game Summary - Sacramento State at Idaho State

Pocatello, ID (SportsNetwork.com) - Jeffrey Solarin registered a double-double consisting of 14 points and a game-high 18 rebounds as the Idaho State Bengals defeated the Sacramento State Hornets, 80-67, in Big Sky Conference play at Reed Gym.

Leading the offense for the Bengals (11-16, 8-10 Big Sky) was Chris Hansen with 21 points as he converted 10-of-11 shots at the free-throw line, followed by Tomas Sanchez and Andre Hatchett with 18 and 11 points, respectively, as the team snapped a three-game slide.

The Hornets (13-14, 9-9), losers of back-to-back decisions, were led by Dylan Garrity with a game-high 26 points on an impressive 8-of-16 shooting beyond the arc. Mikh McKinnet accounted for 13 points and seven assists, followed by Jordan Salley with 11 points off the bench before fouling out.

Sacramento State led by as many as nine points a little over seven minutes into the first half, but the team's advantage at the break stood at only four points, 36-32, after the hosts connected on 14-of-16 at the free-throw line.

After knocking down only 36.4 percent from the floor through the first 20 minutes of action, the Bengals jumped up to 53.6 percent in order to take control and secure the win at home.

The Hornets managed to make good on 10-of-26 on the perimeter on the night, but the team was outscored at the charity stripe, 29-9, and that made all the difference.
