NCAA Game Summary - Tennessee Tech at Tennessee-Martin

Martin, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Jeremiah Samarrippas recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 assists as the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles outlasted the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks, 91-83, in an Ohio Valley Conference showdown at Elam Center.

Dennis Ogbe notched 17 points and four blocked shots for Tennessee Tech (14-14, 7-6 OVC). Dwan Caldwell chipped in 11 points with seven rebounds, and Josiah Moore added 10 points in the win. The Golden Eagles have won four of their last five games.

Dee Oldham led all scorers in the game with 23 points for UT Martin (8-20, 3-10), connecting on 10-of-19 shooting from the floor. Terence Smith tallied 15 points, Mike Liabo notched 11 and Javier Martinez added 10 with seven boards. Myles Taylor provided a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Skyhawks, who have lost five of their last six contests.

Tennessee Tech came out firing in the first half, netting 58.8 percent of its field goal attempts in the frame, including 9-of-15 from 3-point range, and took a 52-47 lead at the midway break. UT Martin hit 48.4 percent of its shots in the half, and went 13-of-18 from the free-throw line.

The Golden Eagles only slightly dropped in the second period, connecting on 54.5 percent of their tries. The Skyhawks connected on 34.4 percent of their shots, and went 1-of-4 from 3-point range.

Tennessee Tech outscored UT Martin from 3-point range, 33-15. UT Martin had the edge in points off turnovers, 20-10.
