NCAA Game Summary - Manhattan at Monmouth

West Long Beach, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - George Beamon finished with 31 points on 6-of-8 from 3-point range, as the Manhattan Jaspers rolled past the Monmouth Hawks, 75-61, in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference clash at The MAC.

Rhamel Brown and Emmy Andujar each had 12 points with Brown clearing eight rebounds for the Jaspers (20-6, 13-4 MAAC), who have won six straight games. Michael Alvarado added eight assists for the visitors.

Josh James scored 15 points for the Hawks (10-18, 4-13), who have dropped eight consecutive contests. Deon Jones tallied 14 points and nine boards and Andrew Nicholas chipped in 11 points.

Manhattan shot 50 percent from the field in the first period, including 8- of-13 from 3-point range, as it led 41-31 at the break. Monmouth made just 39.3 percent of its field goal tries.

The Jaspers connected on 54.2 percent of their field goal attempts in the second half as they cruised to victory. Manhattan went on an 18-4 run midway through the frame to put the game out of reach for the Hawks.

Manhattan's bench outscored the reserves for Monmouth, 21-12.
