NCAA Game Summary - Cal State Fullerton at Hawaii

Honolulu, HI (SportsNetwork.com) - Christian Standhardinger tallied 17 points and 15 rebounds, as the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors held off the Cal State Fullerton Titans, 81-77, in the Big West Conference regular-season finale at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Isaac Fotu shot 8-of-11 from the field en route to 18 points for Hawaii (20-10, 9-7 Big West), which snapped a two-game slide. Garrett Nevels and Keith Shamburger netted 14 points apiece, while Brandon Spearman added 13 points for the hosts.

For Fullerton (11-19, 6-10), losers of back-to-back games, Marquis Horne logged 18 points, eight rebounds and five assists, Michael Williams had 17 points and nine boards, Josh Gentry also scored 17 and Alex Harris poured in 12.

Hawaii carried a 44-35 lead into the halftime locker room by shooting a lofty 58.1 percent from the floor in the opening 20 minutes. Fullerton couldn't keep pace with its 46.7 percent showing.

The Titans battled back and held a one-point lead with 4:37 to play following a Harris 3-pointer, but the Rainbow Warriors surged back ahead thanks to a 10-2 run. Hawaii staved off a late Fullerton comeback by shooting 6-of-8 at the foul line over the final 42 seconds.

Hawaii outscored Fullerton at the charity stripe, 24-14, which helped make up for a lackluster showing from 3-point range (3-of-11).
