NCAA Game Summary - Tennessee State at Eastern Kentucky

Richmond, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Glenn Cosey and Tarius Johnson each scored 14 points as the Eastern Kentucky Colonels edged out the Tennessee State Tigers, 70-66, in an Ohio Valley Conference finale at McBrayer Arena.

Orlando Williams added 11 points for Eastern Kentucky (21-9, 11-5 OVC), which won four straight to end the season and earned the No. 3 seed in the OVC Tournament.

Patrick Miller dropped in 25 points to go with nine assists and seven rebounds for Tennessee State (5-25, 4-12). Kennedy Eubanks chimed in with 16 points and Jay Harris tallied 12.

Eastern Kentucky only connected on 37.9 percent of its shots from the floor in the first half. However, the Colonels hit 5-of-16 from 3-point range and limited Tennessee State to nine field goals to claim a 31-25 halftime lead.

Both teams shot an even 50 percent from the floor after intermission, but Eastern Kentucky sank 13-of-15 from the free-throw line to hold on.

The Tigers had a slight advantage on the boards (34-30) in the loss.
