NCAA Game Summary - Jacksonville State at Tennessee Tech

Cookeville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Dennis Ogbe posted a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles to a 69-57 victory over the Jacksonville State Gamecocks in an Ohio Valley Conference tilt at the Eblen Center.

For the Golden Eagles (15-14, 8-6 MVC), winners of five of their last six, Jeremiah Samarrippas and Dwan Caldwell also finished with 13 points, while Shirmane Thomas chipped in with 10 points.

Brian Williams scored 13 points to lead the Gamecocks (10-20, 4-11), who have now lost seven straight.

TTU shot an impressive 51.6 percent from the field in the first half. Trailing by five early in the frame, the Golden Eagles went on a 14-2 run to take control of the game and went into halftime with a 37-22 advantage. JSU struggled from the floor in the opening period, hitting on just 34.5 percent of its field goal tries, including a meager 2-of-10 from beyond the arc.

The Golden Eagles saw their lead balloon to as many as 21 in the second half as they cruised to victory.

TTU dominated down low, outscoring JSU in the paint, 44-28. The Golden Eagles also outrebounded the Gamecocks, 43-34.
