NCAA Game Summary - Hawaii at Cal State Fullerton

Fullerton, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Isaac Fotu dropped in 24 points as the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors earned an 83-80 victory over the Cal State Fullerton Titans in Big West action at Titan Gym.

Fotu was a perfect 10-of-10 from the free-throw line for Hawaii (18-7, 7-4 Big West), which has won four of its last five. Brandon Spearman added 14 points, Garrett Nevels tacked on 12, Keith Shamburger tallied 11 and Christian Standhardinger posted 10 points and nine rebounds.

Alex Harris poured in 29 points in the losing effort for Cal State Fullerton (8-16, 3-7), which has lost four of its last five. Michael Williams had 16 points and Sheldon Blackwell contributed 15.

The Titans entered halftime, leading, 46-42. They shot an impressive 62.1 percent from the floor in the first half, but the Rainbow Warriors hung around, netting 53.3 percent.

Cal State Fullerton could not sustain its success in the second half, shooting just 30.6 percent from the field. Hawaii also cooled, but to 45.8 percent, which was enough to pull out the win.

The game featured 10 ties and 13 lead changes. Cal State Fullerton had the edge on points in the paint, 34-22.
