NCAA Game Summary - Cal Poly at Hawaii

Honolulu, HI (SportsNetwork.com) - Isaac Fotu scored 26 points on 10-of-13 shooting as the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors held on to beat the Cal Poly Mustangs, 69-60, in a Big West Conference tilt at Stan Sheriff Center.

Christian Standhardinger notched a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds for Hawaii (16-7, 5-4 Big West). The Rainbow Warriors, who have won two of their last three games, shot 48.9 percent from the floor in the contest.

Both Dave Nwaba and Kyle Odister netted 12 points in the loss for Cal Poly (8-14, 4-5), while Nwaba added five rebounds to his stat line. The Mustangs have lost four consecutive matchups.

Hawaii connected on 50 percent of its shots from the floor in the first half, and went 8-of-11 from the free-throw line which helped the Rainbow Warriors to a 32-24 halftime lead. Cal Poly shot 34.5 percent in the frame.

The Rainbow Warriors maintained a solid shooting percentage in the second period by connecting on 48 percent of their field goal tries. Cal Poly upped its shooting percentage to 42.9 in the half, but the Mustangs couldn't make up any ground.

Hawaii had the edge in rebounding, 38-22, in points in the paint, 40-20, and from the free-throw line, 21-6. Cal Poly held the advantage in bench points, 23-7.
