NCAA Game Summary - Morehead State at Eastern Kentucky

Richmond, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Angelo Warner poured in 33 points to lead the Morehead State Eagles to an 86-79 decision over the Eastern Kentucky Colonels in an Ohio Valley Conference matchup at McBrayer Arena.

Warner hit on 10-of-15 field goal attempts and converted all 10 of his shots at the charity stripe to help Morehead State (16-9, 7-3 OVC) to its second- straight win. Greg Dotson added 14 points, Drew Kelly scored 10 points and Chad Posthumus pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds.

Glenn Cosey paced the Colonels (17-8, 7-4) with 18 points. Tarius Johnson contributed 14 points while Corey Walden and Eric Stutz netted 12 points apiece.

The Eagles took a 36-35 lead into the intermission after they connected on 57.7 percent of their shots from the floor and outscored the hosts, 26-20, in the paint in the opening period. EKU knocked down 54.2 percent of its field goal tries in the first half.

The Colonels took a one-point lead twice in the early stages of the second stanza, but Warner sank a 3-point field goal attempt with 16:19 remaining in regulation to put the visitors in front for good. The Eagles shot 59.1 percent from the field and 21-of-26 attempts at the free-throw line in the second period.

Morehead State enjoyed a 34-20 edge in the rebounding battle.
